Dear Mr. Carto:
I am in receipt of your letter of January 8, 1996 in response to my
letter to you of 28 December 1995. I sincerely appreciate your reply.
I am attaching hereto a copy of that letter so you may have it for quick
and ready reference.
Before I respond to your letter, I would like to make one thing
perfectly clear - and that is. I'm your friend, not your enemy! I've
always had lots of respect for the dedicated people who run SPOTLIGHT,
and agree with just about everything they publish and the position they
take. I only have one complaint, and that is their reluctance to respond
to my letters on important issues. It IS for that reason I am no longer
a member of LIBERTY LOBBY'S "Board of Policy". I also consider Nord
Davis to be my friend, and not my enemy. I'm sure you will agree that
you, Vince Ryan, THE SPOTLIGHT, Nord Davis and I probably all agree on
most problems this great Nation is being confronted with today, and that
the only real difference between us might be in the manner In which we
go about to solve the problems of our Country. Therefore, any criticism
I may make about SPOTLIGHT Is not Intended to be nallclous, but only
constructive. Please accept It In that manner I So, after having said
all that, I'll now get down to responding to your letter.
